WHY THE NEN 9140 TRAINING FOR WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR
In electric vehicles, the propulsion system operates at high voltages. These can pose a danger to people who have to work on these vehicles. The employer is responsible for the safety of the staff. This must ensure a safe workplace and the correct instruction of the staff. For example, an occupational health and safety officer can help with this. The EV workshop supervisor (EV-WV) is the one who is actually in charge of the work on e-vehicles.

In this e-learning you will learn what the NEN 9140 standard entails and what the standard regulates for those who work on e-vehicles in the workshop. You can see which employees are allowed to perform certain activities and how the designation policy works. You will learn about personal protective equipment and tools, and the usefulness and necessity of instruction and training.

HOW IS THE TRAINING STRUCTURED?
The e-learning will be available to you immediately after purchase. The time investment is about 2 hours.

WHAT WILL I LEARN DURING THE TRAINING?
During this training you will learn:

• The links between the Working Conditions Act and NEN 9140 and how they affect working conditions.
• The different roles within the NEN 9140 standard (ev-VOP, ev-VP and ev-WV) and how they are designated.
• The process of appointment by the employer or health and safety officer.
• The EV-WV's specific responsibilities for safe working.
• The importance of adequate instruction and periodic repetition thereof.
• The required personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools.
• The clear step-by-step plan of NEN 9140 and which tasks can be performed by which people.
• The need for specific training for live work on the HV battery.

WHAT ABOUT CERTIFICATION?
After completing the e-learning, you will receive a certificate of participation. Please note, this is not a certificate for ev-VOP or ev-VP.

DO I NEED PRIOR KNOWLEDGE?
This e-learning is for employers, occupational health and safety managers and technicians who are or will become ev-WV. To become an ev-WV, you must have the knowledge level of a NEN 9140 Competent Person (ev-VP). If you do not yet have this knowledge, first follow the Safe Working on E-Vehicles Advanced (ev-VP) training.
